Jessie James Overman 1942 ~ 2011 Jessie James Overman, age 69, passed away June 6, 2011 in West Jordan, Utah. Born February 11, 1942 in Hornersville, Missouri to George Washington and Eva May Overman. He was one of 14 children. Dad served in the U.S. Navy as a gunners mate on the U.S.S. Midway. He married Michele Butler on June 17, 1960, they later divorced; together they had five children; Lori (Craig) Jones, Tauna (Scott Woods) Riessen, Kenny (Cally), David and Everett James. He married Diane Hayes on July 26, 1976, they remained married until she passed away in 2006. Dad enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his children, eight grandchildren, five great-grand-children, four brothers and four sisters and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Diane; three brothers and two sisters. Graveside Services for Jessie will be held Friday, June 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Shriners Hospital for crippled children.
